This is the best dealership I have ever dealt with. There was no back and forth dealing to try and jack the price up. Larry Crone was the politest salesperson I have ever dealt with. I would call him again if I was looking for another vehicle. Larry Vanzandt, Finance Director, was very polite. During the entire time I spent buying my wife a car, no one tried to pressure me. My wife and I drove 1 1/2 hours one way to the dealership. It was worth the drive. I am going to recommend Pettijohn Auto Center to my friends and family.

I have dealt with Pettijohn in Bethany multiple times for buying vehicles. I have always received great customer service. They are always very friendly and knowledgeable about the vehicles I am interested in. I always deal with Hal as he is from my hometown and knows my preferences in vehicles. Jeremy took the best care of us (again)! He’s always willing to put in the work to find you exactly what you want if they don’t have it. Never pushy, and always quick to respond to a question (or three). We took our time deciding what I wanted but as soon as I knew, Jeremy pulled it from the lot and met with me on my schedule to finalize. Usually they do excellent service. Not this time. They lied cheated stole n broke my stuff. N set us on our way. saying they had to order a part that they can't get from parts store. That was 3 weeks ago n have heard nothing from them!. I don't think I'll every trust them again!
We went in for a detail and somehow the detailer messed up the electric seats so bad that we have to take it back to get them fixed. It's very inconvenient. Probably won't do that again.
Took a month to fix with no calls from service with update.
Was quoted $800 for 2 tires and an oil change. My wife was charged $927 when finished. Called to inquire why and was told I would get a call back yesterday... no call. Won't ever do business there again.
Horrible service. Started off with Kyle is service turning in a wrong estimate to insurance off by over $1200. No work was completed by them. Stated parts were bad and tried getting $2,500 out of me and couldn’t aligned the truck until parts were replaced. I then took it to 2 other shops that stated they couldn’t find anything wrong and aligned the truck just fine. They made the process very easy and from the time we chose the vehicle to out the door we spent about 20 minutes. Jack Pickren is a great sales rep, he listened to our check list of wants and found us a vehicle that matched.
Overcharges for parts. They are buying parts from O'Reilly or Napa and then charging 3 times the price. They put on a new power steering pump and reservoir and in the process bent the pully They put on a new pully after my husband told them what the part numbers were for a new pull cause they couldn't figure it out cause they had the wrong year of the truck. In the process now we are expected to pay for their mess up and 3 times the price when it should have been warranty work since they messed up.
Prices are honestly outrageous, only took them 10 minutes to hook up the computer to my car to get my door code and still charged me $50. Yeah I get they need to make money. But that’s a half hour of labor cost in 10 minutes…
Robert was rude to my husband when he arrived. Very short with him and rushed him out the door, after traveling from out of state. My husband didn’t realize until he brought the traverse home, that it was missing all of the floor mats except the drivers side. Very dissatisfied and we will not be returning.

Sold me a car saying it’s in “great condition”, yet I haven’t even had it for 3 months and have had to fix the wheel hubs, the axle, and now something else. Please don’t BUY from them.
I brought my car in to get engine light on problem. When I left it was running way worse and had to wait another week to bring it back in. I though it would be their priority to right a wrong.
Pros: The process was quick, finance manager was awesome with a great sense of humor, very laid back group of people.
Cons: I was a little disappointed. Called about the vehicle, asked if there’s anything wrong with it mechanical/cosmetic wise. Price of an oil change is ridiculous.
Went in to get my state inspection and have my tires re-balanced and rotated. The state inspection resulted in a mess of the old inspection sticker scraps left on my dash. The service technician couldn’t even clean them up. Not a good result. The tire rotation resulted in my needing to check the air pressure in all tires the following day. Tire pressure varied in a couple of tires. Wouldn’t you think after they were re-balanced that a consistent tire pressure would have been checked on and installed. Overall results were pretty poor.
Got my vehicle in quickly and diagnosed. After assuring me of the problem with my brakes and the fix required the repairs did not fix the problem. Changed additional parts at my cost that still did not fix the problem and all at my cost. I don't need someone to just change parts. Problem still not repaired.
We had our vehicle checked there and they said the fluids were all good and fine the oil did not need changed and the oil was black and burnt I said there was nothing wrong with the vehicle other than the sway arm pins or something and it needed brakes well there's other things wrong we're finding we're finding that there's also wheel bearings that need to be replaced so you cannot trust pettyjohn
We were visiting relatives and our diesel truck broke down while at nine eagles state park...they did come and tow it, and get it in pretty fast...went to pick it up and seemed to be ok, until the next morning would hardly start, drove it clear back down there has to leave it overnight again, the first fix was the housing to the fuel pump, this second repair was the diesel/ water separator, which is right beneath the housing...anyway when we arrived back home are truck started to act up, first the battery post hadn't even ... Called them for a problem with the wiring on my 2020 Silverado. Only 11,000 miles on it. No clearance lights going back to trailer plug . One of my friends had crawled underneath and found the bumper plug was not installed right. The wires were hanging out etc so he put it in the right way. Still no lights took it in them. Tech could not find.any problem. I told him what my friend had done and he replaced kne fuse ( we checmed them but missed it.) Anyway i was charged $108.00 to replace it. Not happy

My first and last experience with Pettijohn Auto was your worst nightmare!
Was lied to about a car they sold me. I have put over $1000 into it and it still doesn't run correctly. Will never go back. I do find it amusing petijohns only replies to the positive comments on here as well. Would be nice to see them at least attempt to try and right their wrongs

I give the staff in the service side a 5 star but the prices is horrible. Love taken my van and truth here put if prices for services don't change they will be looking some were eles for our needs. I could understand if they provided the parts but we bring our own in.
